A separatory funnel is a glass laboratory instrument, particularly one used in chemical experiments. It consists of a funnel body and a cap. A three-way piston is mounted at the bottom of the funnel, with the two ends of the piston connected to two lower tubes. This practicality facilitates control of experimental procedures and reduces labor intensity. When separating large volumes of liquid, simply move the three-way piston to allow both liquids in the funnel to flow simultaneously into the lower tubes, eliminating the need to change containers.
