Sulfide solid electrolyte, lithium germanium phosphosulfur Li10GeP2S12 is used in solid-state lithium batteries. It has high ionic conductivity and is composed of tetrahedral and octahedral grids. The carriers tend to diffuse isotropically. Due to the scarcity of germanium, the cost is relatively high.
