Product Name: Xinxing Quantitative Filter Paper, Medium Speed
Brand: Xinxing
Specifications: 7cm-18cm, Medium Speed
In the laboratory, filter paper is often used with instruments such as filter funnels and Büchner funnels. Before use, the filter paper should be folded into a suitable shape. A common folding method is to fold the filter paper into a flower-like shape. The more folded the filter paper, the better the surface area it can provide. However, be careful not to over-fold it and cause it to break. Place the drainage glass rod on the multiple layers of filter paper and apply even pressure to avoid damaging the filter paper.

Instructions:
① Fold the filter paper in half twice, forming a 90° angle.
② Unfold the folded filter paper, forming a funnel shape with three layers on one side and one layer on the other.
③ Place the funnel-shaped filter paper into the funnel, ensuring the edge of the filter paper is lower than the edge of the funnel. Pour some water into the funnel, so that the soaked filter paper is flush against the inside of the funnel. Pour out the remaining water and set aside.
④ Place the filter paper-filled funnel on a filter stand (such as a ring on a metal stand). Place the beaker or test tube to be filtered under the funnel neck, with the tip of the funnel neck resting against the wall of the receiving container. ⑤ When pouring the liquid to be filtered into the funnel, hold the beaker in your right hand and the glass rod in your left hand. Place the lower end of the rod three layers lower and one side up, keeping the rim of the beaker close to the rod. Allow the filtered liquid to flow out of the beaker’s rim and then, following the tilt of the rod, into the funnel. Note: The liquid level in the funnel must not exceed the height of the filter paper in the funnel.
⑥ As the liquid passes through the filter paper and flows down the neck of the funnel, check to see if it flows down the sides of the beaker and into the Betty. If not, move the beaker or rotate the funnel to ensure the tip is firmly attached to the beaker. This will allow the liquid to flow down the sides of the beaker.
